Society of Women Engineers Presents:
What: Evening with Industry

Must buy a ticket from an officer or in our upcoming ticket sales November 2-4 at Kemper Hall.
Evening with Industry is a career fair and sit-down dinner with company representatives. This is a great chance to network, enjoy a great meal, and learn more about professionals in their field of expertise. During dinner you are seated with your top company preference and network with other engineering students in related fields. We currently have a tentative list of companies on our site,swe.engineering.ucdavis.edu, for those interested. We will also be posting where the new ticket sale locations and times will be on the site. We have a limited number of tickets so make plans to purchase your ticket soon!
If you cannot make it to the ticket sales you have two other chances to get a ticket, either join us in our second general meeting November 4th from 6-7pm in Kemper 1065 or email sweofficers@ucdavis.edu to contact an officer and purchase one from us, if they aren't sold out yet. We will be updating the list of companies in the coming weeks but once you have decided for your preferences email Lexie your resume and top three companies by November 12th at ewi.swe.ucd@gmail.com.

Cisco presents an overview of Cisco Borderless Networks and its technology.
Cisco says, "At this tech talk learn about Cisco Borderless Networks! Next generation architecture. Connect anyone, anywhere, on any device-securely, reliably, and seamlessly. Cisco delivers on this architecture through video, energy management and highly secures networking services that are embedded across its routing, switching, wireless and security platform to form a comprehensive borderless network solution."

| 11.11.10 - Interclubs Volleyball/BBQ event |
SOBE, AlChE, ISPE, and SWE are having a Veteran's Day joint BBQ this year! The BBQ will be held on:
Date: Thursday, November 11th
Time: 11:00am - 2:00pm
Location:Oxford Circle Park
Come out and get to know other people in your engineering classes! This day is a great opportunity to make new friends or catch up with old ones :) . We are going to have burgers and s'mores. We are also going to play volleyball against the other clubs! So come out and show your SOBE pride! We ask that you PLEASE wear your SOBE shirt if you have purchased one! If you do not have one but would like to purchase one during this event please send me an e-mail with your shirt size and the amount of shirts you will like to purchase (if you do not I can not save a shirt with the size you indicated).
All undergrads and grads are invited, however, I will need you to RSVP to this event before Tuesday, November 9th at 6:00pm! You can RSVP to this event by sending me an e-mail at justang@ucdavis.edu. Anyone who does not RSVP will need to pay once you get there! The rate is $3 per person or $5 for two. But there is a catch! If you have purchased a SOBE shirt and forget to RSVP (we have your names), we will let you in for FREE! Nevertheless, if you purchase a shirt at the BBQ we will also let you in for FREE :D (However, I can not guarantee that you will get the shirt size that you want as our shirt sizes are limited right now.
SO COME OUT! RELAX! I will be there to mingle with everyone :)...I hope to see a lot of you there! This event could also be a good opportunity to ask upperclassmen about engineering classes!
